Ann Rasmus
Associate Director, University YMCA
“Building bridges is hard work! It requires time and energy, creativity and risk taking, and a great deal of trust and humility. In my role as Y staff I've had the privilege of seeing this work take place among our residents, through our student organizations and staff-led programs, by our boards and longtime friends, and between the many organizations and units we're fortunate enough to partner with. The University Y works hard to be a place where Dialog, Reflection, and Action (our motto) happen, and where people can find allies, partners, fellow pilgrims, and real community. Bridges are hopeful pursuits, built because people want to go places-- to do good, accomplish difficult things, and to take these journeys together.”
This project was made possible by a grant funded by Team Up, a national collaboration between Catholic Charities USA, Habitat for Humanity International, YMCA of the USA, and Interfaith America.
