Board of Governors
Like all non-profits, the University YMCA is guided and directed by an operating Board. Our Board of Governors is composed of community members, university faculty and staff as well as university students. Members are elected at our Annual Meeting from and by our Dues Paying Members. Non-student Governors serve a three-year term, with a 2-term limit. Student members serve a renewable 1-year term.
Learn more about our Board Members' Responsibilities, and their commitments under our Board Handbook.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the supervision and management of our Endowment, including determining the annual distribution to support operations. Up to 25 Trustees may serve at any time. Trustees are appointed by the Board of Governors to renewable five-year terms, and are generally alumni, community members and faculty and staff who financially support the University YMCA.
The University YMCA practices Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) to ensure our assets are used to advance our values.

Student Board
The Student Board - StuBo - ensures that we center student voices and perspectives at the University YMCA. StuBo facilitates collaboration among student organizations and nominates students to serve on our Board of Governors. StuBo is composed of current students who represent, lead and participate the University YMCA's affiliated student organizations and programs. StuBo selects officers each year from among its members, who are willing and able to serve for one academic year: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Membership Director.
