Ellen Dahlke
Trustee
Ellen Dahlke first came to the Y to tutor for Vis-A-Vis. During her undergrad years at UIUC she co-directed Vis-A-Vis, went on an Alternative Spring Break to Biloxi, MS; sat on the Friday Forum committee; planned a Student Activist Conference, and served as President of the Student Board. She remained in the C-U community to teach English at Urbana High School and Centennial, and to work on a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and she remained involved with the Y, chairing Dump and Run and the Board of Governors. She currently lives in Oakland, California, where she teaches English at Oakland Technical High School and adjuncts in the Mills/UC Berkeley teacher-education program. She loves to write, hike, hang with her niblings, and visit Y friends in C-U as often as possible.
