Jack Lavin is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. Throughout his career, Jack has focused on economic and business development in order to create jobs and improve the quality of life for people in Chicago and Illinois. Jack previously served as Chief of Staff for Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, Chief Operating Officer of the State of Illinois and Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Jack also serves on the board of the Chicago Children’s Theatre and the Advisory Board of the Adult Down Syndrome Center. Jack and his wife, Kathy, have been strong and active advocates for people with disabilities. He has also served on several task forces and transition committees for the Mayor of the City of Chicago. He is a graduate in Finance from the University of Illinois and holds an MBA and MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago. He lives in Chicago with his wife and three children.
