“Whether it's the mission, the service, or the personalities that run the Y, there is too much synergy to ignore. It is a natural partnership. Here, our common denominator is our common humanity. How do we come together based on our shared identities while learning and celebrating nuances? The idea we share at interfaith and cultural programming is not to judge each other but to understand where we are coming from based on our lived experiences and influences, to reach common ground moving humanity forward while retaining our uniqueness. Lastly, changing your mind after new experiences that challenge previous assumptions is a sign of intellectual maturity and emotional intelligence.”
This project was made possible by a grant funded by Team Up, a national collaboration between Catholic Charities USA, Habitat for Humanity International, YMCA of the USA, and Interfaith America.
