Faizi Tofighi
Vice President, Interfaith in Action
“It is essential to have a space run by a group of people who have a common vision of unity and a focus on bringing people together no matter their religious beliefs or ideology. The Y is reimagining what a center of social justice and community building looks like. I have seen this organization take specific actions to promote unity and foster bridge building. The Y seeks to learn from and give a voice to all members of the community, a crucial part of any integrative process. The staff have a learning mindset and truly care about the wellbeing of the people around them, never failing to ensure an attitude of humility in their approach.”
This project was made possible by a grant funded by Team Up, a national collaboration between Catholic Charities USA, Habitat for Humanity International, YMCA of the USA, and Interfaith America.
