James Trask
Social Action Chair, Interfaith in Action + Y Resident
“I want to believe I am open to as many beliefs as possible. For that to be the case, I need to be in spaces where I can hear different insights and perspectives from other faiths. Interfaith at the Y gave me that and so much more. Growing up, religion was a source of polarization. Interfaith was the first time I experienced people of different faiths didn't hate each other. The more I understand others, the more I understand myself. Interfaith in Action has built a community of individuals involved in something I am passionate about…In theory, all of our faiths make a point to tell us to work in tandem. Seeing it in practice is a different story.”
This project was made possible by a grant funded by Team Up, a national collaboration between Catholic Charities USA, Habitat for Humanity International, YMCA of the USA, and Interfaith America.
