Sandry Rodriguez
Immigrant Family Services Coordinator, NAWC
Sandry is our Immigrant Family Services Coordinator. She helps members of the immigrant community navigate Champaign County by providing education, outreach, case management, and resource connection. Sandy’s role is particularly meaningful to her because she has personally experienced the challenges of adapting to a new culture. Although Sandry has a background in science as a chemical engineer, she discovered a new passion for social work after being an immigrant in two countries (Peru and the United States). Sandry loves advocating for people and enjoys working on the NAWC team. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, writing her thoughts, and spending time in nature. The beach is her favorite place as it reminds her of her homeland by the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea in Venezuela.
